Police Search For Missing Eldery Man

GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are searching for a missing elderly man who suffers from symptoms related to mental illness.

Garland police say at around 11:45 p.m. they received a call that  73-year-old Truett Hamby was missin from his retirement home on 1300 block of Colonel Drive, south Garland.

Hamby is described as 5'7, 145 pounds with green eyes and grey hair. He is believed to be on foot and walking with a cane. He suffers from signs of dementia and Parkinson's disease.

Police say he was last seen wearing a checkered shirt, khaki shorts, white socks and red and white tennis shoes.
