Police Arrest Robbery Suspect After Standoff In Desoto Neighborhood
DESOTO (CBSDFW.COM) - Update: 6:08 p.m. Dallas Police tweeted that the suspect is in custody.
DESOTO (CBSDFW.COM) - Update: 6:00 p.m. Police say they are in contact with the suspect, who has barricaded himself inside a DeSoto apartment complex. Police say the incident may be domestic violence related.
DESOTO (CBSDFW.COM) - Update: 4:45 p.m. - Police believe the suspect is barricaded in an apartment complex in the 200 block of S. Hampton. Officers have surrounded the unit, with their guns drawn. Whoever is inside the unit has opened and closed the door repeatedly, but no one has come outside.
DESOTO (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Police are searching for a wanted robbery suspect in DeSoto neighborhood and authorities say he may be armed.
The suspect led police on a chase which started in Dallas and ended in DeSoto, near Dalton and Hampton. The suspect stopped the car and ran into the wooded area near the intersection.
K9 officers are being used to locate him and more than half a dozen police cars could be seen in the area from Chopper 11.
Police say the suspect is wanted on three robbery warrants and is also a murder suspect. The black male suspects is described as wearing a grey shirt and black shorts.
