Police Say Dallas Crowds Were Good After Mavs Win

DALLAS (AP) - Dallas police have reported no major problems despite large downtown crowds celebrating the first NBA championship title for the Mavericks.

No property damage or injuries were reported after fans crowded into downtown Dallas streets following the Mavericks' 105-95 win Sunday night over the Heat in Miami.

Dallas police reported 14 arrests as of 1:45 a.m. Monday, including six for public intoxication and four for disorderly conduct. Four people were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

Police say the vast majority of people were cooperative and good spirited.

Officers say accurately gauging the crowd size was nearly impossible. The crowds were large and started to thin out before midnight Sunday and by early Monday had largely moved on.

Police didn't say how many officers were on duty, citing security reasons.
