Police Name Suspect In DFW Olay Robberies

COPPELL (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Coppell have identified the man believed to be responsible for stealing more than $40,000 worth of Olay products from the DFW area.

Authorities have named 27-year-old Efrain Michael Hardman as the suspect in this case. He is described as a six-foot tall white male weighing about 200 pounds. His vehicle (a white Nissan Sentra, license plate CB6-K564) is registered in Mount Pleasant, but he has addresses listed in both Irving and Mesquite.

The suspect's alleged scheme is the same each time, police said. He pulls up to the front of a Tom Thumb store, fills a shopping handbasket with Oil of Olay, and then just walks out the door without paying. The suspect then gets into his own car or that of a waiting accomplice, and drives off from the scene. Different partners have been used on different occasions.

Police believe that Hardman has been involved in 34 such robberies in the area -- all at Tom Thumb stores. The most recent robbery was on June 24 in Coppell.

Anybody with information on this case is urged to contact the Coppell Police Department.
