Police Looking For Suspect In Arlington Area Park Shooting

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW) - Arlington Police are investigating a shooting that left a 22-year-old man dead at a park on Sunday night.

Authorities responded to a shots fired call at George Stevens Park in the 400 block of W. Sanford Street around 9 p.m. and found a man with an apparent gun shot wound near a park pavilion. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he did not survive.

Investigators are looking into a motive for the killing and believe the crime wasn't random. They say they are working quickly to identify the suspect.

The victim won't be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office until they can notify the family.
