Police Investigating Possible Homicide In Plano

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Plano police are investigating a suspicious death after a man's body was discovered in his home after 8 p.m. on Sunday night.

Officers were called to a home at 3121 Royal Oaks Drive near Spring Creek Parkway, where the body of a 50-year-old white male was found. The identity of the man has not yet been released.

A police spokesman says an extended family member, who also lives at the residence, had been concerned about the relative. When he arrived and opened the door to the home, the family member was alarmed by what he had seen and immediately called police.

Officers arrived at the scene and searched inside, where they found a man dead and indications that it was not a natural death. Police indicate that foul play is suspected and that the evidence does not point toward suicide being a possible cause of death.

The medical examiner will be responsible for determining the official cause of death.

Homicide detectives are investigating at the scene.
