Police Investigating After Runner Fights Off Her Attacker
LITTLE ELM, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted while she was running Tuesday morning in Little Elm.
The victim was able to fight off her attacker, who fled the scene in a vehicle.
It happened at 7:30 a.m. near Union Park Boulevard and Fishtrap Road north of Highway 380.
The area is part of Hillwood Development's Union Park master planned community.
Little Elm Police said they have an active scene and are currently investigating.
Frisco Police said their officers are talking to Little Elm about the attack in light of a similar one they had in February. In that assault, a 54-year-old woman was injured by a man while jogging in The Trails neighborhood.
After speaking with the victim, detectives were able to obtain a better description of the alleged suspect.
The victim in the Frisco case described the suspect as an approximately 5'6" to 5'7" stocky/heavyset male who had a distinct bowleg walk. He was dressed in all black at the time of the assault.
No word yet on a suspect or possible motive for the attack in Little Elm.
