Police Investigating After Fatal Shooting Outside Of House Party

Updated 6/17/2012 1:49 p.m: Arlington police have released the identity of the the man who died from the shooting. The victim is 18-year-old Obeth Hernandez of Dallas.

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened outside of a party early Sunday morning.

Tiara Ellis Richard with the Arlington Police Department says officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 1600 block of Geraldine Court at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday.

Richard says officers found two men injured during a shooting outside of a house party.

The victims are believed to be an 18 and 21 year old. They were both taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The younger victim died at the hospital from his injuries.

Richard says this is the tenth homicide in Arlington in 2012.

Arlington Police have not yet released the identities of both victims but they are asking anyone with information to call them them at (817) 459-5735 or Crime Stoppers at (817) 469-8477.
