ARLINGTON(CBSDFW.COM) - Arlington police detectives are investigating a third aggravated robbery this week near the UT-Arlington campus.

Police say around 10pm Thursday the victim was walking and looking at his phone in the 1600 block of S. Cooper Street, south of Park Row.  A man with a gun approached him from behind.  He demanded property and the victim complied.

Police say at this point nothing connects the three incidents (the other two happened early Tuesday morning and Tuesday night just south of campus) but detectives are looking into the possibility the crimes have been committed by the same person.

In two of the cases, police say victims were looking at their phones and not paying attention to their surroundings.

The suspect descriptions are vague in all three cases.

Detectives are checking to see if there is any surveillance video in the area that might be helpful in the investigation.  So far they've found none.
