Police Identify Victim Killed, Search For Hit & Run Suspect

CARROLLTON (CBSDFW.COM) - On Monday afternoon a driver in Carrollton spotted what they thought was a body on the side of the highway. When police arrived they did find the body of who they believe is s 42-year-old man. Now investigators are asking for help from the public identifying and locating the person who ran the man down and left the scene.

Officers found the body of the person they believe to be Roberto Domingo Arancibia, on the frontage road of northbound Interstate-35E. Investigators believe Arancibia, originally from Nicaragua, was walking when a vehicle struck and killed him sometime between Sunday, March 10 and Monday, March 11.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a silver or gray-colored 2006 Honda Civic, with damage to the front ride side.

The case has been tough for Carrollton police. In addition to trying to find the hit and run driver, police have not been able to locate any of Arancibia's family or friends. The victim has the name "Sarae" tattooed on his upper back, and may a number of aliases.
