Police Identify Murder Suicide Suspect And Victim

GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police have identified the victim and suspect in a murder suicide in Grand Prairie.
Grand Prairie police received a call from Arlington officers that Ivan Arellano, 29, had committed suicide in their city, but that before he did, he told someone that he had murdered a woman in Grand Prairie.
After a search, the body of a woman was found in a heavily wooded area. The victim, was identified as Desiree Morris, 17. The cause of death has not yet been released.
A Facebook check showed that Morris' father had posted concern about her well being, and said that the family had filed assault charges against Arellano in the past.
Police said the investigation is on-going.
