MANSFIELD (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are hoping a clay composite will lead to possible clues into the identity of a woman, whose body was found last August.
Authorities discovered the skull of an African American woman, age 35-55 in a field. After a search, they found other bones belonging to the woman. Police said they believe the woman was murdered.
Officials estimate that the remains were in the ground there for at least 5 years, evidenced by the root of a willow tree growing in the cranium of the skull that long.
They believe the woman was between 5'2 and 5'10. A partial collar from a blouse, size large and a locket were found near the body as well.
Authorities are asking anyone whose loved one was reported missing in '98-2011, to call police.
