Police Foil Attempted ATM Theft Near Fair Park

DALLAS (CBSDFW) - Dallas Police responding to an attempted ATM smash and grab early Wednesday morning are nearly mowed down by what is believed to be the suspected thief.
According to Police a vehicle attempted to ram the outside of the Walgreens at RB Cullum Boulevard and MLK Boulevard near Fair Park, but did not succeed in getting inside.
Shortly after, a man in a pickup truck drove by the crime scene, then circled back around - drove into the parking lot and attempted to hit the officers with his vehicle.
Police chased the suspect and took him into custody a short distance away.
