Police: Dallas Teen Forced Kidnap Victim To Take Drugs

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A teenage drug dealer is in custody after police say he kidnapped a woman and forced her to ingest LSD and cocaine while interrogating her.
Jonathan Lantz, 18, went to the Marcus Recreation Center in northwest Dallas, according to his arrest warrant, where he knew the victim often worked out about 5:30 p.m. Thursday. He demanded she get into the Volvo he was driving and threatened to kill her family if she didn't, according to police records. He had previously pointed a rifle at the victim and threatened to kill her, so she complied out of fear.
Lantz drove across town to a La Quinta Inn in the 10000 block of North Central Expressway. Once inside a room, police say, he forced her to take a tablet, believed to be LSD, and powder cocaine while he interrogated her. He thought she had told police about his drug deals, so he yelled at her to find out what she told them, records say.
Lantz continued to force her take drugs; threatening to kill her family relentlessly, according to his arrest warrant affidavit.
About 7:30 a.m. Friday, he worried that the victim would die of a drug overdose, so he took her to a hospital in Farmers Branch, according to the arrest warrant. Lantz didn't want the victim to die while she was with him. Thus, he stayed until he was tipped off that police had received a call about a suspicious overdose, then he fled, according to police.
Authorities found the white Volvo that Lantz had driven with marijuana in the console and a shotgun in the back seat.
He was arrested Monday and booked into the Dallas County Jail on charges of aggravated kidnapping and possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. He remains locked up, with bail set at more than $750,000.
