Police Arrest Man Posing As SMU Student

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – SMU police say they arrested a man who was roaming through dorms and offering female students free massages.

Edwin Kim, 24, has been charged with criminal trespass after he posed as an SMU student in the Morrison-McGinnis residence hall, according to police.

Kim, who is not a SMU student or employee, had women's clothing with him and in his car at the time of the arrest. He was also carrying a flyer offering free massages from SMU's Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports, where he claimed to work. One student reported that Kim touched her inappropriately during a massage.

Police are investigating if any other students had similar encounters with Kim in Cockrell-McIntosh Hall or McElvaney Hall. Kim had previously been warned to stay away from SMU's campus.

Anyone who can help with the investigation can contact the SMU Police Department at 214-768-3388. Anonymous tips can be reported through the Silent Witness Program at 214-SMU-2TIP or online at http://www.smu.edu/2tip.
