MCKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - A high school athlete from Plano could face more charges in a sexual assault investigation. Some of the allegations against Zachary Holifield started before the teenager's 17th birthday, which could send this case to the juvenile system.

And those allegations are disturbing. Court documents state that Holifield admitted to having sexual contact with a young girl at least three times. The victim is now 5 years old, but Holifield told a detective that the encounters possibly started when the child was just 3 years old.

The Plano Senior High School student said that incidents were supposed to be a secret between him and the child.

Holifield faced a judge in McKinney on Wednesday morning. His attorney, Pete Schulte, asked for a lower bond, arguing that the current $600,000 bond is too high for someone who is only 17 years old. The judge, however, denied that request and kept the bond at its current amount.

"The state will have to file a motion to try to certify Zack as an adult and, if that gets granted, then we'll be back in adult court. But at this particular point, he's being transferred to the juvenile detention facility," Schulte explained. That transfer is taking place on Wednesday.

A detective in the courtroom on Wednesday also stated that there might be another possible victim. That remains under police investigation.
