Plano H.S. Teacher Arrested On Sexual Assault Charge
RICHARDSON (CBSDFW.COM) - A Plano high school teacher is on administrative leave after being arrested and charged with the sexual assault of a child.
A 16-year-old boy contacted Richardson police earlier this month and claimed Addison Colby Green, a teacher at Shepton High School in Plano, had sexually assaulted him.
The victim, who does not attend Shepton High, told police he had known Green for less than a year and was working at the 26-year-old's home when the assault took place.
Richardson police began an investigation and, after DNA evidence was collected, were able to corroborate the victim's story.
"Clearly since our suspect is 26 and our victim is 16, it's a case where there may have been some manipulation or influence by the suspect over the victim, because of the age difference here," explained Richardson police investigator John Wakefield.
Green was arrested and charged on November 17. He was released on a $50,000 bond one day later.
Richardson police said "there are no other known victims at this time".
Officials with the Plano ISD said they do not believe any students in their district are involved in the issue.
The case will be filed with the Collin County District Attorneys Office.
