Plane Lands On I-35 Access Road
A stretch of Interstate 35 north of Georgetown had some unusual traffic with more of a high-flying nature.
The Department of Public Safety says nobody was hurt Thursday morning when a single-engine plane made an emergency landing on an I-35 access road.
Authorities say the plane apparently had engine trouble and the pilot, 39-year-old Robert Nitche of La Grange, managed to land on a section of frontage road with little traffic, not far from Georgetown Municipal Airport.
The plane was later loaded on to a flatbed truck for transport.
