Pilot Of Pot Plane Captured
The pilot of Hunt County's "Marijuana Plane" has been captured 1500 miles away. Investigators have been looking for him for more than a week since he ditched a small plane in a cotton field near Greenville shortly after residents called 911 to say duffel bags full of marijuana were falling from the sky, landing on their homes. Federal agents had been tailing the plane believed to be smuggling drugs from Mexico. After landing the plane in the cotton field, the pilot vanished. But investigators had a pretty good idea who he was. They launched a coast-to-coast search but concentrated mainly on Darin Fayne's hometown of Fresno, California, where he was arrested without resisting.
