Report: Perry Says He Plans Trip To Israel
IRVING (AP) - Gov. Rick Perry may be giving hints that he'll make a second run for the White House.
The Washington Times reports that Perry says he'll visit Israel in October. Such a trip is expected of conservative presidential hopefuls looking to establish foreign policy credentials.
A Perry spokesman, Rich Parsons, told The Associated Press Friday that if the governor indicated he plans to take a trip to Israel, details will be announced "at the appropriate time."
Perry didn't mention his political future when he spoke Friday at the Texas American Legion's annual convention in Irving.
He announced earlier this week that he won't seek a fourth full term as governor next year.
The Republican has said he'll announce later this year whether he'll run for president in 2016.
