Perry & Gingrich To Speak At Austin Policy Forum

AUSTIN (AP) - Gov. Rick Perry and old friend and former 2012 presidential rival Newt Gingrich are set to share a stage in Austin.
The pair is keynoting the closing luncheon Friday of a policy forum sponsored by the Texas Public Policy Foundation, an influential conservative think tank.
Perry, who is now mulling a 2016 White House campaign, endorsed former House speaker Gingrich after dropping out of the 2012 presidential race.
Gingrich also wrote the forward to Perry's 2010 anti-Washington book "Fed Up!" More recently, he served on the board of a Perry political nonprofit group promoting the leadership of Republican governors nationwide.
Perry, Gingrich and Heritage Foundation chief economist Stephen Moore plan to discuss the "resurgence of American leadership."
The longest-serving governor in Texas history, Perry leaves office Jan. 20.
