Perry Dead Last In New South Carolina Poll

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CBSDFW.COM) -  A new poll in South Carolina by Insider Advantage shows Texas Governor Rick Perry has now slipped to last place.

While he has remained steady at five percent, former Utah Governor John Huntsman has now moved ahead of Perry with seven percent.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is still ahead, but is slipping with 23 percent.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is rising and is within two points of Romney.

Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum is in third with 14 percent, followed closely by Texas Congressman Ron Paul at 13 percent.

Governor Perry has slammed Romney this week, calling him a "vulture capitalist" in connection with his former company Bain Capital.

At this point, Perry's tactics don't appear to be working for him, and some analysts are starting to consider him a spoiler.

His approach has also cost him the support of a big GOP donor.
