Pedestrian Killed Crossing 635-LBJ Monday Night

GARLAND (CBSDFW) - It was a grim scene for police and paramedics in Garland - where a man was struck by a vehicle going freeway speeds on LBJ-635.
According to Garland Police, around 10 p.m. Monday, several 911 calls notified police that a man trying to cross the freeway near LaPrada had been struck.
The driver did stop, as required by law, and police see no reason to charge him with anything.
Police have not figured out why the man was trying to cross the freeway.
The victim's name has not been released pending next-of-kin notification.
