Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle In Arlington

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Arlington police responded to a crash early Saturday morning at the 2600 block of S. Cooper Street.

According to police, a vehicle was traveling northbound in the outside lane when it struck a pedestrian on the roadway.

Investigators said they believe the pedestrian did not use the crosswalk while they were attempting to cross the street.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said they do not expect charges against the driver of the vehicle.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will identify the pedestrian once next-of-kin has been notified.
