PD Searches For Suspects In Robbery & Attempted Kidnapping
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Fort Worth are asking for assistance from the public in finding the people who robbed a man and attempted to kidnap him earlier this week.
The crimes took place at the Sonic restaurant in the 1800 block of W. Berry Street, just after Midnight on October 2.
A man was power washing the parking lot when three Hispanic males walked up to him from behind. The armed suspects demanded the keys to the victim's gray-colored Toyota Titan pickup. The victim didn't resist and gave them the keys, but they then ordered the man into the bed of the truck.
As the suspects continued badgering the victim a Hispanic female, driving a white-colored 2-door car, possibly a Pontiac Firebird or Chevrolet Camaro, pulled up. The woman opened the trunk of the vehicle and the male suspects began to try and force the victim from the truck into the trunk of the car.
The victim violently resisted and at some point was able to escape. At least one robber drove away in the victim's truck. The other suspects left the scene in the white car.
The victim received minor injuries. His truck and power washer were later found at different locations in Fort Worth and Forest Hill.
Anyone with information about the crimes or the suspects involved is asked to either call Fort Worth police at (817) 335-4222, contact Crime Stoppers at (817) 469-TIPS (8477), or log onto the Tarrant County Crime Stoppers website and submit a tip.
