Parsons Agrees To Four-Year Max Deal With Memphis

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The inevitable has become a reality as Chandler Parsons has agreed to a terms with the Memphis Grizzlies on a four-year deal worth $94 million, according to multiple reports.
Parsons seemingly confirmed the reports with a tweet thanking Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, the staff, teammates and fans.
As we've reported all week, Dallas was reluctant to give Parsons a max contract due to concerns about his knees, as well as the Mavs view that players need to sacrifice just as Dirk has.
Dallas is supposed to meet with free agent point guard Mike Conley at some point Friday, but as Mike Fisher notes, there may not be any reason to.
What's next for the Mavs? Well, we were afraid of this situation taking form as we noted earlier this week.
Dallas must now scourer what remains on the free agent market, and may look to see what's available to them through a trade.
The Mavericks signed Parsons to a three-year $45 million deal with a player option after year two, in 2014.
Parsons averaged 16.7 points and 5.7 rebounds for the Mavs the last two seasons, but injuries limited him to just 127 games in that span.
