Parents Nervous Over TB Retesting At Ennis High School

ENNIS (CBSDFW.COM) - A state-ordered retesting of Ennis High School students for Tuberculosis has parents concerned the tests aren't going far enough.

About 66 of the 250 at-risk students and faculty at Ennis High School were tested Wednesday by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

The testing and retesting began when a teacher at the school contracted the contagious bacterial infection.

Parents tell CBS 11 they believe the district has not done enough to notify them, and are concerned that 80 students who initially also tested positive for TB have been allowed to stay in school while the second test was done.

Correction: An earlier version of this story said 250 were tested Wednesday. This was incorrect; 250 people total were tested, 66 of those were tested Wednesday.
