Owens Eyes Chicago For NFL Comeback

CHICAGO (CBS SPORTS) - Terrell Owens is preparing for a return to the NFL, and he feels the Chicago Bears would be a good landing spot.

Citing a stagnated relationship forged 17 years ago with new Bears head coach Marc Trestman, Owens feels that he can make a difference in Chi-Town. "I played my first early years in San Francisco with and shortly after that, he left to do some things," Owens said Friday, according CSN Chicago. "I haven't talked to Marc in a long while. I know he's gone on and done some things, now he's back in the NFL. So, I never really thought about it until myself and [former NFL linebacker] Napoleon [Harris] were talking about it earlier, but I would definitely welcome it if they would give it some serious consideration."

Owens, 39, didn't play in 2012, but -- as Harris can attest -- the former All-Pro has been keeping in shape in hopes that some team will take a flyer on him. And he's doing his best sell job to the Bears.
