1 Person Dies In Crash Near Eagle Mountain Lake
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - One man was killed and another man was arrested after a rollover crash near Eagle Mountain Lake early Tuesday morning. The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 8200 block of Western Lake Drive, near Lake Country Drive.
Police said that a Ford pickup truck with four men inside was trying to make a turnaround in a cul-de-sac on Western Lake Drive when the driver lost control, went up over the curb and slowly rolled the pickup truck down an embankment.
One of the passengers was ejected and the truck rolled over the top of him, pinning him under the vehicle. He died at the scene. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner later identified the victim as 23-year-old Kelvin Chazarreta of Benbrook. Nobody else was hurt during the crash.
The driver of the truck was arrested and may face charges of driving while intoxicated and intoxication manslaughter.
