Old Hollywood Is New Bridal Style Of Choice
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The popular trend among brides right now is vintage looks from old Hollywood. If you have the money you can even purchase the wedding dress Elizabeth Taylor wore when she married Conrad "Nicky" Hilton Jr. in 1950. The dress is up for auction on June 26 for an estimated price of $75,000.
We went to David's Bridal in Fort Worth to get the same look for less. Stephanie Mekhjian, the manager of the Fort Worth location shared their mission for the vintage bride. "What we want to do is make sure we give her that Hollywood look at a price point she can afford. She wants to splurge on everything else so we are going to give her a luxury gown and we want to make sure it's affordable for her big day."
Four different vintage looks from Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie O and Carolyn Kennedy but each had a modern flare. The best part is the prices. The gowns were all less than $1000 and the least expensive was just under a hundred dollars.
