Oklahoma Teen Sentenced To Life For Killing Arlington Pizza Truck Driver

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A Tulsa teen has been sentenced to life in prison after he pleaded guilty in the shooting death of a truck driver outside an Oklahoma pizza restaurant.

The Tulsa World reports 18-year-old Jermaine Savory pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for his involvement in 53-year-old Robert Horton's death last year.

Horton, who was from Arlington, Texas, was killed while unloading pizza dough from the back of his tractor-trailer at a Papa John's Pizza restaurant.

A Tulsa County district judge has ruled that Savory must serve 38 years in prison before he is eligible for parole.

Authorities say Savory and two others tried to rob Horton while delivering the food items.

Savory declined in his guilty plea to say who shot Horton. Prosecutors say Savory was the shooter
