Oil Pressure Indicator Causes Memphis-Bound American Flight To Divert
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Pilots erred on the side of caution Monday evening after a low oil pressure indication came on during an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Memphis, causing it to divert to Little Rock, airline spokesman Tim Smith said.
The plane landed safely at Little Rock National Airport and the 129 passengers aboard Flight 1366 were taxied to the gate to wait for another flight.
The original plane will remain until the engine can be removed and replaced, Smith said.
