Obama Gets Briefing On Drought
WASHINGTON (AP) - The nation's most widespread drought in decades is on President Barack Obama's agenda Wednesday.
The president will meet with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to discuss the government's response to the drought that's covering more than half of the continental U.S.
In the afternoon, Obama will host the 2012 NCAA women's basketball champion Baylor Bears at the White House. The Lady Bears went undefeated.
The president also will meet during the day with Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, before heading to a campaign event in Washington.
