NRH Police Struck By Suspected Drunk Driver

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBSDFW.COM) - Two police officers were hospitalized early on Sunday morning after their vehicles were struck by a suspected intoxicated driver.

According to a statement by the North Richland Hills Police Department, the two officers, Sergeant Todd Hanson and Officer Oscar Saenz, were working at a highway construction project detail on NE Loop 820 around 3:30 a.m. when their police cruisers were hit.

Emergency personnel transported the officers to the hospital, where they were released with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Judith Dee Hodges of Grapevine, was taken into custody and has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Dangerous Drugs.

She is currently being held at the North Richland Hills Detention Center. Bond has been set at $1,000 for each offense.
