Note, Pills Found Next To Body In Home Of Mom Accused Of Murder

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Police in a Collin County city say they discovered a note and pills next to one of two people found dead in the same home where the couple's 10-year-old son was discovered months earlier.

In documents released Monday, Frisco police described what they found in the home of Sumeet and Pallavi Dhawan earlier this month. Their bodies were discovered on September 3 by a family member.

The search warrant affidavit released Monday says police found Pallavi's body floating face-up in the home's pool, and her husband's body in a downstairs bedroom. Next to Sumeet's body were a note and pills, though police did not say what was in the note or what type of pills they were.

Police eventually took dozens of items from the home, including a handwritten note, packages of drugs that included blood-pressure and thyroid medication and clothes.

A police spokesman did not respond to questions about what was written in the note.

Pallavi Dhawan was being investigated for murder in the death of her 10-year-old son, Arnav. Authorities found Arnav's body wrapped in cloth, in a bathtub filled with ice.

Until their deaths, the Dhawan's insisted their son died after having a seizure, and pointed to the autopsy‎ which said the boy likely died of natural causes. Pallavi Dhawan said her son died of natural causes and she was preserving his body for religious rites.

The couple's attorney, David Finn, has called on Frisco police to release the note and for the Texas Rangers and FBI to investigate the couple's death.

Finn said both Sumeet and Pallavi Dhawan were feeling stress from the ongoing police investigation, describing them as being stuck "in living hell." But he said he saw no potential signs of violence.
