North Texas Mom Accused Of Abusing Her Disabled Son
PARKER COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - North Texas mother Gina Delynn Murasky and three other adults have been indicted by a Parker County grand jury for allegedly injuring the woman's special needs son.
Murasky, her boyfriend and another couple living in the house, have all been charged with Injury to a Child with Intentional Bodily Injury.
The case involves allegations made more than two months ago. As a result of an investigation initiated then, Child Protective Services (CPS) removed an 11-year-old mentally disabled boy and three other children from the home.
"This little boy and his sister have been in foster care since February and according to their case workers they're both doing very well," said CPS spokeswoman Marissa Gonzales.
According to Gonzales, family members are now caring for the other children previously living in the home.
A police report says the mentally disabled boy was battered and bruised.
"The child presented with various injures, including bruises, and according to the interviews that we had with some of the adults they actually admitted to causing some of the bruises," Gonzales said.
Murasky had been investigated 14 times by CPS, but never arrested.
"All of the previous investigations had been ruled out, or there was not enough evidence to support the allegations of abuse or neglect," Gonzales said. "So this is the first time where there has been clear evidences that abuse and neglect was occurring."
The accused adults -- Murasky, Russell Scott Herrick, Karen Denise Horner and Jason Radell Harnsberger, were each released on $30,000 bond.
