NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBSDFW.COM)- A North Richland Hills mother is fighting for her life, and her 15-year-old daughter is dead after a Jeep hit their vehicle Saturday night.

15-year-old Kendall Clark was a passenger when her mom attempted to make a left turn on Rufe Snow Drive.

Their vehicle was struck on the passenger side Jeep going in the southbound direction.

Kendall's mother Tiffany Clark is in ICU at John Peter Smith Hospital.

The driver and passenger in the second vehicle were treated for injuries at the scene but did not require hospitalization.

Sunday night, students at Richland High School gathered together to hold a vigil for Kendall.

Brandy Caldwell spoke of the devastation over losing her close friend.

"I just can't believe she's gone. It's just ridiculous. What the heck? She was supposed to spend the night at our house last night," said school friend Brandy.

"If I [saw] her in the hallway she always had the biggest smile on her face. You know how you can see a person and you can just see the life in them. That's what I saw in her," said classmate Samantha Wartelle.

Kendall played JV soccer for the Richland High School Rebels. Everyone talked about her smile.

Samantha Wartelle didn't know Kendall well, but they were classmates and right now Richland High Students are spending this holiday weekend huddling together, in prayer, and in their grief.

"It's the rebels. We are a family. It doesn't matter if we know each other or not. It's just, we're in it together."

Her soccer teammates say they will dedicate the rest of the season to Kendall.

"She lived her life to the fullest where you shouldn't have to remember how she was loved. The impact she left on other people is just amazing," said teammate Isabella Norris.

Friends of Kendall are asking fellow classmates to where the color hot pink Tuesday in honor of Kendall. Hot pink was Kendall's favorite color.

Also the student body plans to release hundreds of balloons before the school day starts Tuesday.

The accident is an ongoing investigation by the North Richland Hills Police Department.
