North Fort Worth Field Fire Under Control
NORTH FORT WORTH (CBS 11 NEWS) - A large fire that swept through fields at I-35W and North Tarrant Parkway in Fort Worth is now under control.
Fort Worth fire fighters worked the edges of the fire pushing the flames with water lines until the blaze was extinguished.
The fire scorched several fields and, at one point, threatened nearby apartment buildings. No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
The fire's thick smoke did slow rush hour traffic on nearby I-35W several times.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
