North Crowley Advances To 5th Straight Regional
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Calvin Ward and Braxton Reeves combined for 32 points as the state's sixth-ranked North Crowley Panthers advanced to their fifth straight Class 5A boys high school basketball Region I tournament with a 64-33 conquest of Arlington Bowie on Monday night.
North Crowley sets up a possible showdown with the state's top-ranked team, defending state champion Flower Mound Marcus, at 6 p.m. on Friday at Fort Worth's Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center.
All-American Marcus Smart and the Marcus Marauders continue defense of their Class 5A state title on Tuesday night in Grand Prairie against upset minded Mansfield Timberview. Meanwhile, the Class 4A regional quarterfinals feature a Tuesday night doubleheader at Ellis Davis Fieldhouse in Dallas as West Mesquite collides with Lancaster. The nightcap is a showdown between DISD powers South Oak Cliff and Lincoln.
