No Mo' Modano??
THE DALLAS STARS have announced that they will NOT offer Mike Modano a new contract for the upcoming season.
Modano (40), has been a Star his entire career, a unique accomplishment in today's hockey climate. He holds a seriously impressive amount of NHL records and helped bring a Stanley Cup to Dallas in the 98-99 season.
He enters free agency July 1st, and has three options:
1. Play for another team
2. Retire
3. Assume somewhat of an ownership role if the investment group he is part of is successful in their bid to purchase the franchise.
Final decisions are expected to be announced to coincide with the upcoming NHL draft.
