No Injuries After 18-Wheeler Overturns In Dallas
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Emergency crews in Dallas responded to the scene of an overturned 18-wheeler on Monday morning. The incident happened just before 5:00 a.m. near the intersection of Interstate-45 and Linfield Road, an area commonly used by truckers.
The driver told CBS 11 News that he was traveling southbound along nearby S.M. Wright Freeway when he attempted to make a left turn. But during the turn, he said, he had a tire blowout underneath the passenger side of the trailer. The driver explained that he felt the trailer lean to the right, and then pull the entire vehicle down to the ground.
Nobody was injured during the crash. The driver said that he was able to remove his seatbelt, unlock the door and walk away safe, though a bit sore.
The trailer was hauling goods for crafts retailer Hobby Lobby. Crews were able to get the 18-wheeler back upright by 6:30 a.m. Monday morning.
