No. 12 Texas Downs Rival Oklahoma

AUSTIN (AP) - Jordan Hamilton scored 17 points and No. 12 Texas sent rival Oklahoma to an 0-3 start in the Big 12 with a 66-46 win Saturday.

Freshman forward Tristan Thompson added 15 points and eight rebounds. His 11 points in the second half sparked the run that put the game away for Texas (14-3, 2-0 Big 12).

Andrew Fitzgerald scored 18 for the Sooners (8-9), who are 0-8 away from home this season and showed little chance of breaking that streak in a game in which they never led. Oklahoma shot just 1 of 15 from 3-point range.

Gary Johnson scored 14 points and Cory Joseph 10 for the Longhorns, who held Oklahoma to its lowest point total of the season.
