NFL Coaches Speak On Bounties

PALM BEACH, FL (AP) - Most NFL coaches are not shying away from addressing the presence of a bounty system on the New Orleans Saints.

Many say they will discuss with their players the significance of the punishments the league handed down, including suspending Saints coach Sean Payton for the 2012 season. Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz stresses how easy it is to cross the line from handing out game balls to "something that should never be part of football and is not good for our game.''

Tom Coughlin, coach of the Super Bowl champion Giants, says he expects every head coach in the league to bring up the subject when full teams first gather in mid-April. Coughlin believes Commissioner Roger Goodell "wants the entire league to make sure it is discussed.''
