New Travel Warning For Mexico
The State Department is out with a fresh travel warning to northern Mexico...because of increasing drug violence just across the Rio Grande. The revised travel alert describes in more specific terms the dangers people face when traveling into Tamaulipas. Armed clashes can suddenly erupt between cartel gunmen and Mexican soldiers inside and outside both big cities and small towns. Cartel gunmen have been known to set up roadblocks on major highways to rob people. They've also targeted popular hotels.
