New Fiber Optics Could Bring Deep Ellum Live Performance To You
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Beginning April 18th performances at The Bomb Factory in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas will be streamed live on the internet.
Thanks to fiber optics recently installed by Opus 3 Data Center the quality transmission is possible.
David Herr, The companies chief operating officer in Dallas, says The venue Trees is expected to be next and eventually they Hope all 20 musical venues will follow suit.
The live stream performances will air on Deep Ellum TV.
Organizer say it will attract more people to deep alum but many local performers believe it will have the opposite impact.
"People in San Antonio, people in Austin, people in Houston, they know Deep Ellum. So let's show them it's back. That way when they come to Dallas, Deep Ellum is where they're going to want to visit," says Deep Ellum On Air organizer Jantzen "Jedi" Ray.
The April 18 debut for this project coincides with the Academy of country music awards which take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on April 19.
The ACM awards show will be broadcast on CBS.
