NASA Spaceship Spending Weekend In Dallas
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A piece of America's future in space is spending the weekend in Dallas.
Friday morning a test version of the Orion spacecraft arrived at the American Airlines Center.
The Orion project is the next American spaceship that will carry astronauts to the International Space Station and beyond.
NASA is trucking the Orion capsule from New Mexico to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and they're stopping here for the weekend.
The public can go see the spaceship while it's in town. It will be in Victory Park next to the AAC until Sunday.
NASA staff will be there to answer questions about the Orion program and show off the test ship.
