Murderer Gets Life Sentence
A 26 year old man convicted of brutally stabbing his sister-in-law in her Oak Cliff home last year will spend the rest of his life in jail. A Dallas jury found Edgar Murga guilty of capital murder in the death of Alma Arenas-Perez. The Judge sentenced Murga to life in prison without parole. Authorities say he stabbed Perez more than 40 times and then slashed the throat of her young daughter. The girl, now 8, survived the attack and testified against her Uncle at the trial.
