ADDISON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Addison have arrested a woman for allegedly killing her newborn baby. Luz Aurora Granados-Reyes was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with capital murder of a child under 6 years of age.

Paramedics were called to a hotel on Sunday to assist a worker who had given birth in the employee locker room. They performed CPR on the baby girl, but were unable to save her life. Police were made aware of the situation and, after an investigation, arrested the mother.

It is not clear how the baby died, or if the 25-year-old woman has any other children.

Granados-Reyes was first taken to a nearby hospital, but is now behind bars in Dallas County. Her bond has been set at $500,000. There has been no word yet about when she will go before a judge.

Meanwhile, police in Addison are waiting for the results of the newborn's autopsy, and stressed that the investigation is still active.
