Most Dangerous Area in DFW Area

A Fort Worth neighborhood has been named one of the 25 most dangerous areas in the country. Dr. Andrew Schiller with NeighborhoodScout.com says the area around East Lancaster Avenue ranked 15th on their list and living their increases your chances of being a victim to about 1 in 10 in any given year.

He says the violent crime rate in that neighborhood is more than ten times the average in Fort Worth. Two areas of Dallas made last year's top 25, but did not make this year's list.

As for the country's most dangerous neighborhood, that goes to an area in West Chicago called United Park Center. Schiller says one street is so bad in the area that there's a one in four chance you'll become a crime victim, just by walking down the street.
