Morrow's Tally the Difference as Stars Clip Senators

Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Brenden Morrow scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period, and the Dallas Stars held on for a 2-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Trevor Daley also scored in the win, which ended a two-game losing streak for Dallas. Andrew Raycroft made 18 saves and turned away all five shots he faced in the final period.

"I was able to get in front of a couple and not give anything bad up and we got a win," said the Stars goaltender.

Ryan Shannon scored for Ottawa and Pascal Leclaire had 24 saves in the loss, the team's fourth in five games.

Dallas' Mike Ribeiro did much of the work that led to Morrow's go-ahead goal. He worked the puck around the zone on the left side, setting up one shot that missed, then found the puck down low on the right side.

Ribeiro saw his teammate wide-open in the right circle and fed Morrow with a perfect pass to set up the successful snap shot.

Leclaire had seven saves and Raycroft stopped six shots in a scoreless first period at Scotiabank Place.

Daley then gave Dallas a 1-0 lead at 6:14 of the second, taking the puck in the slot and snapping it over Leclaire's glove on the right side. It was the only goal Leclaire gave up on 12 shots in the period.

Shannon tied it at 1-1 for Ottawa, beating Raycroft on a wrister with 3:31 remaining in the second.
